Learn to make the beautiful art of preparing hand written documents by using calligraphy pens. It is always unique to invite close relatives and friends to your home on various occasions by submitting hand written invitations using the art of calligraphy. One can use gold paints coloured paper and nibs in a variety of styles. There are a variety of pens available  and one can select a suitable pen along with nibs and smooth papers. The art of calligraphy was practised many centuries ago in producing hand written books. The same principles are adopted in the modern calligraphy also. One may go for a fountain pen or opt for a pen holder plus nib. The advantage of using a fountain pen is that frequent refilling can be avoided as in the case of dip in pens. Further carrying a fountain pen is much easier and one can practice calligraphy during any spare time during the day. However the fountain pens are less flexible and less sensitive than a dip pen. A dip pen consists of a holder and nib, which may be purchased separately. One can try out different pen holders that come in different shapes like round, faceted, some wrapped with cork or made of wood. One has to ensure that the holder firmly grips the type of nib being selected for use. It is to be noted that there is no standard applied in producing the nibs and every manufacturer follows different styles.
